The Food Fair at Black Swan Park, Cotton Tree Maroochydore, is a three day food festival, featuring hands on masterclasses, cooking demonstrations and talks from interstate and local guest chefs, showcasing the world-class produce that hails from the Sunshine Coast.

Spaces for the Masterclasses are limited to 24 people per session, with seating provided, so we recommend you book your place early on to avoid missing out.

For all FREE Demonstrations and Talks – please arrive ten minutes early to secure your preferred spot. Limited seats available.

All ages welcome (plus it’s dog-friendly!), with some Masterclasses restricted to over 18’s.

Spirit House | Cooking School

Award-winning restaurant and cooking school Spirit House will bring their contemporary Thai menu to life in a very special masterclass. Lead by Spirit House chefs Kelly Lord and Aaron Tucker, guests will create two dishes - BBQ Pork and Prawn Citrus Salad, and Hervey Bay Scallop with Red Curry Foam. Tastings provided.

Mountaintop Mushrooms | Grow Your Own Shiitake Mushrooms

Mountaintop Mushrooms will take guests back in time exploring and educating on how to grow gourmet shiitake mushrooms at home using an ancient Japanese method, which is completely organic and sustainable. Mountaintop Mushrooms are a small farm, based on the Blackall Range specialising in gourmet and exotic varieties. They supply fresh mushrooms to local restaurants and have a weekly market stall where they sell grow-at-home mushroom kits, shiitake logs and fresh mushrooms to the public.
