Seasonal Tastings - Winter Farm Open Day
Adults $30 | Children (7yr and under) $10 | BYO picnic blanket/basket
Spend a day at The Falls Farm wandering through the extensive market gardens, herb gardens, and orchards and then enjoy a ‘tastings’ of the freshest organic produce. This is *Seasonal Tastings: Winter*.
In mid winter, The Falls Farm is at its most diverse, productive and beautiful.
The farm is bursting with amazing produce...many types of kales, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beetroot, radish, peas, lettuce, celtuce, onions, shallots, garlic, potatoes, citrus…and much more. Many of the varieties grown are bespoke to the restaurant industry.
Most people are unfamiliar with how such produce is grown and, more importantly, how it is grown using organic/regenerative farming processes.
The farm’s adage “we only sell what we grow” means that, *Seasonal Tastings: Winter* will only be offering the freshest seasonal produce for you to sample.
The Falls Farm is situated in an exceptionally beautiful landscape within metres of the Mapleton Falls National Park. Extensive areas on the farm have been landscaped with picturesque dams and watercourses, ‘secret’ gardens, forests and picnic areas.
The Falls Farm wants to share our farming story with you.
To achieve this, we will host farm walking tours lead by the head gardeners. This will introduce to the novice, the home gardener or those who just want to know how their favourite winter vegetables are grown organically.
Situated in a centralised area of the farm, the ‘tastings’ area will be found. Farm staff will be on hand to describe each produce item.
In addition, the visitor can bring their own picnic blanket and basket to enjoy the afternoon.
*Seasonal Tastings: Winter* is for families; interested home gardeners; lovers of the freshest seasonal produce available or those who just want a beautiful day in the country.
