The Curated Plate pays deepest respect to the Traditional Custodians of this country; the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara peoples of the coastal plains and hinterlands of the Sunshine Coast.

First Nations people are the original storytellers and artists of these lands and we honour the rich cultural contributions that First Nations people bring to our Festival.

Sustainability

The Sunshine Coast Biosphere is important to us on the Sunshine Coast and through The Curated Plate we are focused on restoring the Sunshine Coast's local ecosystem and biodiversity, through the Reforest program and helping our local life through Australia Zoo’s Wild Life Warriors.

We are proud of our leading Signature Events, The Sunshine Asia Food Festival who are donating $1 from every ticket sold to our two causes.

To help us protect our wildlife you can donate directly to Wildlife Warrior:

Reforest

Visit Sunshine Coast partnered with Reforest to create a Trip CO2 Calculator developed for visitors to remove emissions from their trip by planting trees in local reforestation projects.

Within the Sunshine Coast LGA, we are excited to have our restoration project located in Corbould Park, Caloundra. Restoring the native habitat of this area, will help protect and foster a number of vulnerable and endangered frog species, including the wallum froglet, the wallum sedgefrog and wallum rocketfrog. The ecosystem will also provide habitat for koalas, and supports a local population of native Carpenter Bees.

Help us by leaving a greener footprint as you enjoy all the Curated Plate Festival and off set your trip via the Trip Co2 Calculator:
