Tom Hitchcock - Chef Ambassador of The Curated Plate for 2024
We are delighted to confirm Chef Tom Hitchcock will be joining us again this winter for The Curated Plate.
With his exceptional skills and passion for creating innovative dishes, we’ve no doubt Tom will make a lasting impression at this year's festival.
Tom will be opening up the doors at Spirit House, offering a cooking class and private dining experience for two nights only!
He will also join the panel for the Chefs In Conversations event, where you will be able to hear more about his drive towards winning the Chef of The Year as the first Queenslander.
Tom Hitchcock was announced as the winner of the Foodservice Australia 2023 Chef of the Year – considered the most prestigious chef competition in the nation.
Having trained under world-renowned chefs and honed his skills in some of the finest restaurants around the globe, Tom is known for his unique flavour combinations and impeccable presentation.
The Curated Plate is a platform to connect food lovers with world-class chefs, and this year's festival has many events to make that a reality for you.
What to expect at Chefs in Conversation ($59pp)
An inspiring panel discussion hosted by Celebrity Cook Hayden Quinn (Taste of Australia & MasterChef) who will uncover the secrets behind four of the Sunshine Coast's most talented chefs Peter Kuruvita (former Head Chef Alba), Tom Hitchcock (Head Chef of Spirit House) and Cameron Mathews (Head Chef of Mapleton Pub) and Stacey Conner (Head Chef / Owner of Humble on Duke).
Upon arrival at the Coast's newest venue Altitude 9, you will be greeted with a signature Sunshine Coast cocktail followed by a curated menu of locally produced canapes.
After the panel discussion, guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet Hayden, Peter, Cameron, Stacey and Tom.
Ticket price of $59 includes panel discussion, a welcome drink on arrival and a selection of locally produce canapes after the panel discussion.

A culinary journey that celebrates the Sunshine Coast's best local produce and producers of course!
Over a shared table served by Tom, guests will experience a showcase of creatively elevated culinary experimentation. The menu boasts a range of unique dishes that blend global techniques with Asian flavours and inspirations (with the option of paired wines, of course!)
Indulge in the tranquillity of The Spirit House and Tom's creative genius over 8 courses and 15 dishes of a secret menu - all to be revealed on the night.
